Simplant Academy World Conference 2009

Attracted by the lure of breath-taking Monterry, CA, and a splendid scientific program, the Simplant Academy World Conference 2009, drew hundreds of doctors, from different countries, and has provided an outstanding opportunity to hear international experts in computer-guided implantology, Dr. Gilbert Tremblay.

Dr. Tremblay sets the tone for a dynamic presentation on “Dentistry Inspired By Third Dimension”. He captured the attention of the attending dentists on the planning process using humour and technology. They were particularly fascinated in the potential of the computer-guided technology Simplant and by the multiple clinical applications of the surgical guides, demonstrated using various and well-illustrated cases. The Dental Institute of Implantology of Quebec, was pleased with this exciting venture which aims to bring together the knowledge and practical expertise of all the disciplines in 3D dentistry and will be relevant to clinical practice. The goal of Dr. Tremblay’s work is to promote this new and cutting-edge implantology as a working standard for the dental implant profession.

The IIDQ 3D Implantology Study Club in Montreal, has also started its fall session. The study group includes clinicians and professionals exchanging and sharing on clinical cases study. (click here to view the 2010 calendar)

« Diagnostic et planification implantaire en 3D et traitement guidé »

A group of dentist had the time of their life attending a two days intensive training on diagnostic and 3D implant planification The Diagnosis and treatment plan in 3D dental implants conference held during the 2009 Ordre des dentistes du Québec pre-convention, with the participation of many distinguished dentist, turned out to be a great success. We would like to thank Materialise Dental for its contribution and most appreciated collaboration during this important Canadian dental forum.

Drs. Tremblay and Paquette’s presentation was highly regarded. They spoke to the participants about state-of-the-art implantology, extensively illustrated by clinical cases using the SimPlant software as a computer-planning tool. Dentists were able to experience, hands-on, the software during the workshop.

Dr. Tremblay is proud of the Dental Implantology Institute’s mission and achievements. He strives to foster and expand professional development programs which allow dentists to integrate and develop implant rehabilitation into their practice. To keep pace with the IIDQ’s activities, we invite you to take note of the enclosed 2009-2010 training calendar and promulgate the information to dentists to afford them the chance to take full advantage of the program’s attributes. The IIDQ will also offer a series of new courses. The details will be posted shortly.
